How safe and accessible are the camp-site and showgrounds?

Security staff patrol the campground at night but it’s best to not leave any valuables unattended in your tent. Non-essentials are best left at home. There are emergency medical technicians on duty at all times including over-night. They are based at the main entrance to the show grounds.

The main site is paved and we have accessible toilets, but our campsite is located in a field. If you have specific access requirements, questions or ideas on how we can improve our accessibility, please get in touch at maverickfestival@yahoo.co.uk

Can I bring my own food and drink?

You are permitted to consume your own food and alcohol on the campsite but not on the showgounds where there are well stocked and reasonably priced bars plus a range of tasty food vendors who depend on your business. The nearest supermarket is the Coop in Wickham Market, about ten minutes away by car but please note,  no glass is permitted anywhere on the site including the campsite. For your safety and security, random bag checks may be conducted at the showground gates.

Can I light a campfire?

Camp fires are not permiited. In the summer heat, the camping field presents a fire hazard but raised fire-bowls are allowed if used responsibly.

will i need cash?

At the bars and trader stands, contactless payment is accepted so cash is not essential but purchases at the company store where artists sell their merchandise must be made in cash and as we are located on a remote Victorian farm wifi and phone reception can be unpredictable.
